Hello fellow fashionistas! Happy Monday!
If you follow me, you know I’m one to go for a combination of classic and stylish designs when it comes to what I put on. I mix and match classic pieces with the latest trends that I think would suit me well to create a smart and sophisticated look. Not every trend we see on the runway is suitable for everyone. Some trends should NEVER leave the runway in my opinion…
Today I want to share with you some of my favorite trends from the runway shows from SS18 that would look great on almost anyone.
1- Bold Bright Colors
I absolutely love bright and loud colors. What better time to wear bold reds, vibrant oranges and bright yellows than when the sun is shining, it’s a clean blue sky, and the flowers have bloomed in an array of gorgeous colors. This SS18 runway shows were full of bright solid color outfits to make a statement. Yay!

2- The Fanny Pack
I was not entirely sold on this trend at first… but after buying a small inexpensive belt bag from Nasty Gal to give it a shot, I was hooked. My heavy handbags can give me shoulder pain, but with the Fannies my hands are free to chase after my children and the weight is evenly distributed on my waist. Wear it over suits, blazers and dresses for a smart look or over one shoulder for a more street-style look like Bella Hadid wears it.

3- Lavender
Step aside millennial pink, lavender will be taking over come spring. SS18 runway shows like Victoria Beckham and Michael Kors showed everything from knits to power suits in this trendy color.

4- Romantic Florals
I love flower prints for spring. This season we are seeing them bigger and bolder than ever combined with lace, puffed sleeves and romantic details.

5- Suit shorts
Who doesn’t love a good tailored power suit? What better way to transition them into spring / summer than by creating tailored short suits. I especially love this trend because I can still wear my blazers with bold statement shorts in the summer and look effortlessly chic without being too hot.

Which one is your favorite trend this spring? Share in the comments below.
