Hi lovely readers,

Happy Monday! We’re all back to the daily grind. I hope you all had an amazing weekend!  I had a hectic one attending London Fashion Week shows but I’m super excited to share with you some of my favorite pictures from yesterday’s shoot with fellow blogger Its Just Dels  at the end of this article. But first, I’ll show you how to pair checks this autumn.

Checks are super on point this season.  Now that the 90’s are back in fashion for 2018, we’ll be seeing lots of plaid this season on the streets. It can be daunting to think of styling a check coat since it’s such a busy fabric on its own. The good news is that this season, mismatched is best. Fashion is all about being bold, taking risks and being yourself. Don’t be afraid to be colorful!

Personally, I like to  pair my plaids with solid colour fabrics in black, white, beige, red and yellow, depending on the colour of my coat. In the example below, my coat is yellow and black so I went with an all black ensemble that would match my plaid lines and emphasize them. In order to make the outfit stand out more, I went with white booties that are so in fashion right now and a fanny pack. I kept my hat black as the rest of my outfit.

If you want to be more edgy and go with a mismatched look, you can style plaid over plaid in different colours like fellow blogger Eva Dorothy from MadCat.Fashion

Another one of my favorite ways to style a checks coat this autumn is with a sweatshirt or hoodie and relaxed jeans. Its a comfortable way to style your coat in the colder winter months.

Last but not least, you can just wear all black and your glen plaif coat for a minimal street style look.
