In the US, some people think that it’s a huge no-no to wear white, especially white jeans after Labor Day. For non-US folks, that means that you can only wear white between Memorial Day Weekend (last weekend of May) and Labor Day weekend (first weekend in September). That’s pretty much 8 months out of the year of not wearing white. Bummer!
Truth is, it’s quite acceptable to wear white all year long. There are so many ways to make white jeans look fashionable and season-less.
I’ve put together some styling tips along with some inspirational photos that show that white jeans CAN be rocked all year long.
Now before you start styling, I recommend you find a pair that is not too thin so that you have more coverage (I’ve tried on some that show all of the dimples behind my bottom and no one wants to see that!!). Also look for ones that are stretchy and below the ankle so they can be used with boots and sandals like these.
Here is how to rock those jeans:
Wear white distressed jeans with a white sweater and white booties for a white on white combo. Add a pop of color with a checks coat.
Go monochrome with white jeans, white shirt and finish the look with beige colored booties and cape. Add a camel colored hat.
Do white jeans and a white top with a black coat and matching black boots for a classy winter look.
Layer your white jeans with an oatmeal jumper. Add a teddy bear coat in the winter.
Do white jeans with a white body suit and add a camel colored blazer with a matching camel bag to complement it.
One of my favorite looks is white jeans with a grey turtleneck and a matching grey coat. Simple and elegant. Use grey booties to keep it simple.
Try using boyfriend jeans or a similar style and add brown booties with a black checks blazer for an edgy look.
Be bold and use a jumper in a burgundy color that will make your jeans pop. Keep your accessories neutral.
